What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences, and, when you consent, to collect analytics data so site owners can understand how their product is being used.

We also use browser storage that is not a cookie and is never sent to a server by itself: localStorage, IndexedDB and a service worker cache. The website uses localStorage to remember your cookie choice. The Fighter Cut app (app.fightercut.com and the iOS app) uses all three to work offline and keep your data on your device. Each use is listed below.

Cookies We Use

Everything we place on your device falls into one of three categories. Open a category to see each cookie, who sets it, why and for how long. Necessary cookies are always on. Analytics and Session replay are never used until you press a button: Accept all or Analytics only on the banner, or Save settings in Cookie settings. In Cookie settings their switches start on, so Save settings keeps them unless you switch them off; in Europe they start off. We do not use advertising, retargeting, personalisation or cross-site tracking cookies.

NecessaryAlways on

These keep the site and the app working and remember your choice. They cannot be switched off from the banner because nothing works without them.

Storage the app uses on your device

These are used by the Fighter Cut app, not for tracking. They stay on your device; the app only sends data to our server if you create an account or turn on a sharing switch, as the Privacy Policy explains.

AnalyticsOptional

Counts visits and clicks so we know what helps fighters. Google Analytics runs on the home page only and is not loaded at all until you choose Accept all or Analytics only, or switch Analytics on in Cookie settings. If you leave it off, or your browser sends Global Privacy Control, it is never loaded and these cookies are never set. If you switch it off later, we stop it and delete them.

Analytics data is processed under Google's privacy infrastructure. See Google's Privacy Policy and the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on to block collection across all sites.

On this website: PostHog

The same Analytics choice loads PostHog on fightercut.com, the blog and the tools. It counts page views and clicks on the main buttons (App Store, Google Play, open the app, The Corner, pricing). Nothing from PostHog loads before you opt in, and Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control keeps it off. Switch Analytics off in Cookie settings to stop it.

In the app: PostHog

The Fighter Cut app (app.fightercut.com and the iOS and Android apps) asks once per device whether to allow usage analytics and, separately, masked session replay through PostHog. Until you say yes nothing from PostHog is loaded and nothing is stored. If you do, PostHog keeps an anonymous id and its settings in your device's local storage under a key beginning ph_. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control count as a No. Change your answer in Settings, Privacy. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

Session replayOptional

A replay of how a visit moved through the page, recorded by PostHog with every form field masked, so typed text is never captured. It needs Analytics: switching Analytics off switches this off too. Accept all turns it on; Analytics only leaves it off.

Managing Your Preferences

You can change your choice at any time. The button below opens Cookie settings, where each category has its own switch. Switch off what you do not want and press Save settings. Switching Analytics off stops Google Analytics and PostHog and deletes the Google Analytics cookies. The same panel opens from Cookie settings in every footer.

Browser controls

All modern browsers allow you to block or delete cookies independently of our banner:

Blocking essential cookies may cause the consent banner to reappear on every visit.

Analytics cookies are processed on the basis of your freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). You may withdraw consent at any time using the button above. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

Essential cookies and localStorage are used on the basis of legitimate interest in delivering a functional website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). They do not track you across sites or serve any commercial purpose.
